Hale Custom Signs was started by Dan Hale in 2004 after working and training with a prominant sign maker in Hatfield, Mass. for 11 years. He then decided it was time for him to form his own identity and open Hale Custom Signs. Starting out in a small garage space in Turners Falls. Quickly outgrowing the small space, Dan moved to the current location on Montague City Road in Greenfield. As business picked up the shop increased from two bays to three and staffing increased from just one to three sign makers.

Early projects were modest, but as reputation and more projects with the Hale name on them are seen around the county, Hale Custom Signs has become the sign shop to go to for quality construction and clear and eye-catching design.
